SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. — The City of South Pittsburg is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an evening of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, and fireworks during its annual Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 3.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Tower Stage and Hooch area in downtown South Pittsburg and will feature a variety of activities designed for all ages.
According to promotional materials released by the city, attendees can enjoy vendors, live music, inflatable attractions, a dunking booth, water activities, water gun fights, free food, and a fireworks display to cap off the evening.
Organizers are encouraging families to bring lawn chairs and swimwear for children, as portions of the event will include water-based activities in the street.
The celebration is part of nationwide observances marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
City officials say the South Pittsburg celebration is intended to bring the community together while offering a safe and fun environment for families to celebrate the holiday weekend.
