Sequatchie County Rescue Squad Fireworks Sale Returns Ahead of Independence Day

DUNLAP, Tenn. — As Independence Day approaches, the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad is once again offering area residents a chance to stock up on fireworks while supporting local emergency responders.

The annual fireworks sale officially opens Sunday, June 22, and will continue through July 4. The fireworks stand is located at the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad building, 16385 Rankin Avenue in Dunlap.

Organizers say proceeds from the fundraiser help support the Rescue Squad’s operations and its mission of serving the community during emergencies and rescue calls throughout Sequatchie County.

According to the Rescue Squad, the fireworks stand will offer a wide selection of products for Fourth of July celebrations, with organizers encouraging residents to shop locally and support the volunteers who serve the county.

The Rescue Squad noted that every purchase helps fund equipment, training and response efforts that benefit residents throughout the year.

The organization is also encouraging shoppers to support the Dunlap Fire Department Auxiliary fireworks stand, located behind Dairy Queen in Dunlap.
