The Dunlap Police Department has learned of a potential scam involving text messages being sent out by individuals posing as local church leadership. These messages include urgent requests for green dot cards to be purchased. These texts may appear convincing, but they are NOT legitimate requests.
If you or a loved one has fallen victim to a scam similar to this, please contact The Dunlap Police Department via telephone at (423) 949-3319 or call non-emergency to our E911 dispatch center at (423) 949-9912.
