Wildfire on South Pittsburg Mountain Contained on Tuesday Night

At 7:17 PM on Tuesday, June 25, a wildland fire was reported on South Pittsburg Mountain. Around 8 PM South Pittsburg Mountain Fire Department requested assistance from the Jasper Highlands Fire Department. The forestry service and the two fire departments contained the fire around 10:20 PM.

Marion County Woman Missing for One Month Found Safe

34 year-old Kisha Tozier of South Pittsburg went missing on May 16, 2024. Authorities and her family and friends have been searching for her since. On Saturday the Marion County Sheriff’s Department reported that Tozier had been found safe. No other information was released.
