Large Wildlife Fire Under Control

On Saturday, Tennessee Forestry Fire crews responded to a large wildfire on the side of Signal Mountain above Kell Loop. As many as four dozers were deployed along with a helicopter for water drops. RV Destroyed in Fire

On Friday at 1:09 PM, the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to Chesadu Circle for an RV Fire. Haletown and New Home, GA Fire Departments battled the flames. The fire was contained from reaching other nearby structures, but the RV was a total loss. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

Hang Glider Rescued near Lewis Chapel Ramp

At 1:36 PM CST Friday, 3/29/2024, the Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to a hang-gliding accident on Lewis Chapel at the ramp.
