Dates and games for the annual High School Jamboree at Chattanooga’s Finley Stadium have been announced.
This year’s event will feature twenty-one teams from across the region including teams from Marion, Hamilton, and Bradley counties, as well as Ringgold High School from Catoosa County, Georgia.
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is the presenting sponsor for the annual even this year, who are no strangers to showing their support for high school athletics across the state as the annual sponsor of the “BlueCross Bowl” State Championship games, which will feature many of these teams coming back to ‘Fort Finley’ in November for their shot at the championship title.
The High School Jamboree Presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee will be played over three nights at Finley — Thursday, August 10th; Friday, August 11th; and Saturday, August 12th — with seven quarters of action on Thursday and eight quarters on Friday and Saturday.
In Jamboree fashion, the Defending BlueCross Bowl State Champion Tyner High School Rams will get things started on Thursday night, playing in two separate match-ups…one against Sale Creek and another with Signal Mountain.
Locally, the Marion County Warriors will see action on Friday night against Chattanooga Christian School for a quarter, then Silverdale Academy for another. South Pittsburg will also see play on Friday, with the Pirates facing the Ooltewah Owls and also a round with Silverdale.
Tickets will be available from participating high schools and will also be sold at Finley Stadium’s gate. The Jamboree features all general admission seats and the price is $10 per night.
