The deceased body deceased of a female was located in the parking lot of Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant in Monteagle on Sunday morning. The restaurant is located near the Marion/Franklin County line.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released the following information on Sunday afternoon. “At the request of 12th Judicial District Attorney General Courtney Lynch, TBI special agents are working alongside the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the circumstances leading to the death of a female whose body was found in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 1200 block of West Main Street in Monteagle on Sunday morning.” The TBI added that the body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Nashville for an autopsy.
Authorities have not released the woman’s name at this time. We will update this story when we receive additional information.
