The Tennessee Department of Human Services is asking EBT cardholders and those who receive benefits using to be on the alert for potential scams.
They say it’s important that SNAP, Families First (TANF), and Child Care Payment Assistance customers stay vigilant and cautious. They want to emphasize that the Tennessee Department of Human Services will never ask for your card number or PIN during a call.
Representatives with the agency say if you are unsure if an unplanned call, text, or communication is from TDHS, do not share your information. Instead, check your case using the One DHS Customer Portal (OneDHS.TN.Gov) or contact TDHS directly using the information provided on our contact page at TN.Gov/HumanServices/Need-Help-/TDHS-Contact-Us.html.
