Authorities seeking suspect after armed robbery in Gruetli-Laager

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office hopes to identify the suspect in an armed robbery that took place in Gruetli-Laager on Tuesday morning, September 17th, 2024.
Authorities say the suspect entered the Town Market on SR-108 just after 6:00 AM Tuesday, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. After receiving approximately $1,500, the suspect ordered the clerk to hand over their personal car keys and to get into the bathroom until they were gone.

They then fled the scene in the clerk’s car (pictured) which was later found completely burned in the Daus Mountain area south of Dunlap by deputies from the he Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities say the subject is a male, wearing long pants with a tear in the knees. He had on a brown-tan colored American Eagle hoodie and was wearing a black bandana around his face.
They believe the suspect came from the wooded area across from the store. Upon leaving in the stolen vehicle, he turned left on SR-108 and then turned right onto 60th Avenue North.
