The next phase of the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s I-75/I-24 Interchange construction project in Chattanooga is approaching, and drivers will need to be aware of some important changes.
What TDOT describes as “a major traffic shift” will occur on October 6 and 7 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. as crews move travel lanes on I-24 east of Belvoir Avenue and Spring Creek Road.
Traffic in both directions will shift to the outer lanes as work begins on the median and inner lanes.
TDOT encourages drivers to use caution as they travel through this area and expect delays.
The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
