Lack of Drivers Causes Changes for Friday School Bus Routes and Numbers in Sequatchie County

Due to the lack of substitute bus drivers, Sequatchie County Schools will dismiss bus #12 early at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4th. Bus routes will not run for number 8-1st load or 8-2nd load in the afternoon. Parents of students who ride bus #12 and wish for their child/children to remain at school for the entire day may send a note to the school and pick these children up as car riders at the normal time.

Students who normally ride bus # 8-1st load will ride bus # 10-1st load.

Students who normally ride bus # 8-2nd load will ride bus # 5-1st load. These students will be 15-20 minutes early to their stop.

Students who normally ride bus #10 in the afternoon will be about 15-20 minutes late to their stop.

Students who normally ride bus #5 in the afternoon will be about 40 minutes late to their stops.

Inter-campus transfer students who normally ride bus #12 from GES to the middle school will ride bus #4.

Sequatchie County Schools apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you would like to inquire about becoming a substitute bus driver, please contact Scotty Holland at The Sequatchie County Board of Education. 423-949-3617.
