Tennessee County Unemployment Rates for March

According to newly released data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, nearly all counties in Tennessee reported unemployment rates below 5% in March.

Unemployment rates decreased from February to March in 70 counties, remained the same in 17 counties, and increased in eight counties.

Williamson County reported the lowest rate for March at 2.4%.

Pickett County had Tennessee’s highest unemployment rate at 5.7%.

Marion County’s unemployment rate for March fell to 3.8% after a February rate of 4.1%.

Grundy County stayed the same at 4%.

Bledsoe County’s rate decreased from 3.2% in February to 2.9% in March.

Sequatchie County dropped from 4% in February to 3.7% in March.

Hamilton County’s unemployment rate for March fell slightly to 3% after a February rate of 3.1%.
