150 Employees Lose Jobs at BlueCross in Chattanooga

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development has issued an official WARN Notice submitted by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. According to the notice, permanent layoffs affecting 150 employees began on September 1, 2025.

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, recognized as the state’s largest health insurer, recently commenced local subsidiary operations at its Chattanooga headquarters. Member health coverage will remain unaffected by these changes.
