Jasper Highlands Fire Department Joins Tri-State Mutual Aid Association

JASPER, Tenn. — The Jasper Highlands Fire Department has been accepted as a member of the Tri-State Mutual Aid Association (TSMA), a move department leaders say will strengthen emergency response capabilities and enhance regional cooperation during large-scale incidents.

In an announcement released Thursday, the department said membership in the association connects Jasper Highlands firefighters with a broad network of fire, rescue, emergency management, and specialized response agencies throughout the region.

According to the department, the partnership will provide access to expanded mutual aid resources and improve coordination during emergencies that exceed the capabilities of a single agency. These could include major fires, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescue operations, severe weather events, mass-casualty situations, and other large-scale emergencies.

Department officials said the agreement will allow for faster access to additional personnel, equipment, and specialized expertise when needed, while also promoting stronger cooperation among neighboring departments across the tri-state area.

The Tri-State Mutual Aid Association serves agencies in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina, creating a framework for departments to assist one another during emergencies and disaster responses.

“We are proud to announce our acceptance as a member of the Tri-State Mutual Aid Association,” the department stated. “This important partnership strengthens our ability to serve and protect the Jasper Highlands community.”

Officials added that the membership not only benefits local residents but also contributes to broader regional preparedness by encouraging shared training, expertise, and coordinated response efforts.

The Jasper Highlands Fire Department said it remains committed to providing the highest level of service, preparedness, and protection for the community as it continues to grow and expand its emergency response capabilities.

The department has served the Jasper Highlands community since 2016. Residents with non-emergency questions can contact the department through its website or social media channels.
