Haletown Fire Receives Grant

The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded an SVECares Grant for $2,500. The funds from this grant have been used to purchase ten 50′ sections of 1.75″ attack fire line and a new wildland firefighting nozzle. This vital firefighting equipment will soon enter service to serve the community better.

Authorities Continue to Search for Missing Man

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agents continue to search for Phillip Gage Thrasher, who was last heard from on March 31, 2024. Thrasher was last seen on Prior Ridge Rd at the Grundy County line.  If you have any information, contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 423-942-2525.

Fire Destroys Home in Haletown Area

On Tuesday around 5 AM, the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department reported to the 200 block of Rankins Cove Church Road for a fully involved structure fire.
