Updating a story we brought you earlier, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has now released additional information regarding the fatal crash that closed Highway 111 on Cagle Mountain Monday morning following notification. of family.
According to THP, the crash occurred around 10 a.m. on June 8. Investigators say 19-year-old James W. Coulson Jr. was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway 111 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle.
Coulson was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 41-year-old man, was injured in the collision. The extent of his injuries has not been released.
Troopers reported that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
