A semi-truck overturned on Highway 28 (TN-28)Â between Whitwell and Dunlap on Wednesday morning, temporarily closing the roadway near the intersection of Press Pickett Road in the Daus community of Sequatchie County.
According to reports from the scene, the truck rolled onto its side along the southbound lane at approximately 11:23 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the crash, which occurred near Daus Building Supply. Power lines were also reportedly brought down as a result of the incident.

An update issued shortly after noon indicated the truck driver was not seriously injured and was reported to be okay.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use caution while emergency crews worked the scene and utility crews responded to the downed power lines.
No additional information about the cause of the crash was immediately available. Authorities have not released the driver’s identity.
