RV Destroyed in Fire

On Friday at 1:09 PM, the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to Chesadu Circle for an RV Fire. Haletown and New Home, GA Fire Departments battled the flames. The fire was contained from reaching other nearby structures, but the RV was a total loss. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

Mass Water Rescue Conducted Monday Night at Nickajack Cave Wildlife Area

At 8:24 Monday night, Haletown Volunteer Fire Department, New Hope Fire, TWRA, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Nickajack Cave Wildlife Area for a mass water rescue. Fire Near Ladds Substation on Sunday Night

At 7:41 Sunday night, Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a multi-acre wildland fire near the Ladds Substation. Jasper, Jasper Highlands, and Kimball Fire Departments were called for water and manpower to keep the fire from spreading to nearby residences and businesses. The fire was brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
