Dangerous Fire on Elder Mountain brought Under Control Saturday

On Saturday night, shortly after 8 PM, Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to a mutual aid call on Elder Mountain. An uncontrolled wildfire was threatening three structures. Upon arrival, Haletown firefighters collaborated with Chattanooga Fire, which had successfully brought the fire under control. The Haletown team promptly began extinguishing the remaining hot spots.
