New Fire Chief Named in New Hope

Strong Storms Power through the area on Thursday

A strong thunderstorm powered through the valley on Thursday afternoon, bringing high winds and heavy rain. Several communities lost power due to the severe winds and lightning. Outages occurred in Bledsoe, Marion, Grundy, and Sequatchie counties in Tennessee and Jackson County, Alabama. Flash flooding also appeared in several areas in the Sequatchie Valley.
