The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department has introduced a new engine to its fleet. This new apparatus is outfitted for service for all emergencies in the community. Haletown Engine 3 carries 2,000 gallons of water, making it the second pumper-tanker in service at Haletown. The all-volunteer veteran-led department works hard to best serve the community.

The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department has received a grant from the Tennessee Department of Forestry. They received five sets of equipment, including helmets and glasses. The department also received two forestry-grade backpack blowers through the grant. These vital pieces of equipment will ensure that Haletown Fire is ready for future wildland and brush fires.
